What we do

Financial advisory

We provide financial advisory services such as in depth financial modelling and financial structuring consultancy for the development and construction of energy and infrastructure projects (wind, solar, natural gas, oil and coal power plants).

Contractual structuring

For project financed projects, we advise on the structuring of the specific contractual package, supply and off-take agreements, construction, operation and maintenance, financing agreements.

Project management

The company coordinates the construction and development of energy and infrastructure projects.

Advisory on trading and acquisition of industrial equipment

Using its experience and good network of contacts, the company can fit the specifics needs of the client to the availability of new and refurbished equipment available on the market.

Research on energy security

Energy Security is the uninterrupted availability of energy sources at an affordable price. The company is involved in research of this sector, with its unavoidable geopolitical consequences, with a focus rather on the technical and business side. Mr. Berneaga, the company’s managing director is an associated expert on energy with the New Strategy Center think-tank in Bucharest.

Managing directorBogdan Berneaga

Bogdan Berneaga is a 45-year old energy and finance professional with a 20-year experience in the energy sector. A graduate of the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Bogdan has worked with Enron, Black & Veatch and CEZ, in the energy sector, developing and project managing the construction of power plants and wind farms in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the US. The most recent project was the 600 MW CEZ Wind Farm in Romania, the largest on-shore wind farm in Europe, built between 2009 and 2014. He recently coordinated studies on energy security and regional energy cooperation in the Caucasus and the Caribbean. He is an associated expert with the New Strategy Center think-tank in Bucharest.

CEZ Wind Farm

The 600 MW (240 turbines) CEZ Wind Farm, Fantanele commune, was built between 2009 and 2013. Ridgeline Industrial, as manager of the project management company Continental Wind Project Management, coordinated the works. The company remained an advisor to CEZ after commissioning. Georgia Energy Sector

As part of efforts to assist Georgia in improving its energy security, The Romanian Agency for International Development Cooperation – RoAid has retained Ridgeline Industrial in 2018 to do a short review of the Georgian energy sector. The intention was to assist the various Georgian energy sector stakeholders in their development, and to propose next steps for more detailed studies.

The report was handed over to Georgian counterparts in Tbilisi during meetings on 26 and 27 February 2019. Subsequently, the recommendation to further assess the feasibility of enlarging the currently operational 20 MW Qartli wind farm by 100 – 150 MW was accepted, and discussions are underway for detailed planning of the study.

Jamaica Energy Sector

As part of efforts to assist Jamaica in improving its energy security and reduce its dependence on imported oil, which is the overwhelming source of fuel for its power generation, The Romanian Agency for International Development Cooperation – RoAid has retained Ridgeline Industrial in 2018 to do a short review of the Jamaican energy sector. The ensuing report focused on increasing wind power generation capacity.

The report was presented and handed over to the Permanent Representative of Jamaica to the United Nations, His Excellency Mr. Courtenay Rattrai, at the UN offices in New York on 2-Apr-2019. His Excellency Teodor Meleșcanu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Director of RoAID, Mr. Catalin Harnagea, and Mr. Bogdan Berneaga, highlighted to Ambassador Rattrai the positive results in Romania of having increased wind power generation capacity between 2008 and 2014, and the assistance that Romania is willing to offer to Jamaica for the development of this sector.
